INTRODUCTION
Founded as long ago as 1880 and based in Sidcup, London, the Society continues to flourish and recruit new members. The objects of the Society embrace the presentation of lectures and promotion of discussion on Literature, Science and Art with liberty to extend to other subjects, which have included of late, but not been limited to, Engineering, History of Art and Archaeology.
MEETINGS
The society meets on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month from October to March inclusive, other than in December when only one meeting is held on the second Tuesday. Please see our membership page.
VENUE
Commencing 8th October 2024 we meet at our new venue, Sidcup Sports Centre, 49 Sydney Rd, Sidcup DA14 6RA . The club house is situated less than a ten-minute walk from Sidcup High Street. Meetings start at 7.30 pm and finish at 9.00 pm. The venue has car parking, disabled access, and facilities include a bar for soft and alcoholic drinks.
